The Evolution of KrethTunez
KrethTunez began as a passion, became a hobby, and is now a way of life. Well
over 30 years ago, Randy Creath was involved in Christian Rock'n'Roll and began writing, producing, and finagling ways to
be involved in music. Whether he was taking care of sound equipment or promoting concerts at Judson College, touring
on his own and with friends, running sound and helping to design large "gatherings" for the ABC/USA (American Baptist
Churches) National Youth Ministries, writing music for himself and the various churches he served, producing various bands
and artists, recording bits and pieces of this and that for everyone and their brother, Randy has been working at music.
Along the way, the artistic concept and system of equipment that is now "KrethTunez" took shape. It has changed
from various live rigs, to MIDI studios, to recording & live rigs, into what is now a hybrid remote recording and project
studio. All the while Randy has sought to learn the ins and outs of the various pieces of gear he's used. Randy's
not above pushing the limits of technology -- and KrethTunez pushes hard against any perceived limitations. The art
and construction of music is what KrethTunez is all about -- it's always been that way and that's what we expect to continue!!

Randy Creath
Randy Creath is a sojourner in this world whose passion for music and the mystic power
of God has led him into many divergent avenues. Having been a performing and touring "Christian Rock" musician for many
years, Randy has spent 23 years in full-time pastoral ministry and five teaching music in the public schools.
An ordained clergyman with an extensive theological and musical education, Creath has tried to integrate the various interests
and callings of his life into a unified whole. Along the way Randy has pursued new avenues of musical expression
in worship as well as in the public arena. Randy's personal albums include "the demoze" and "under the mercy".
Randy's alter ego, "Rannulf McCrae" has released his first album entitled "randy".
Randy has pursued many musical projects beyond KrethTunez, including providing music
leadership in the church, and teaching guitar, bass, keyboards and songwriting. Randy serves as pastor for
the Cosmopolitan United Church in Melrose Park, IL. You can check out their website at www.cosmopolitanuc.org
If you're interested in "custom" original music for your church or worship group, please
contact KrethTunez. Randy is exploring ways in which his skills can be applied to the music of the emerging
church !! Whether you're celebrating a special event in your congregation or you'd like a "signature" song for worship,
he'd love to help your church !!
While not a perfect human, Randy is always hoping to live the promise of God's
grace. It's an impossibility, but a noble goal nonetheless. Thank goodness achievement of this goal is not required
- only its pursuit !!
Randy wants to give his appreciation to the many people who have provided encouragement and
love over the years. You know who you are... THANKS!!
